Data location and privacy boundaries

AgentMemory stores project content locally and uses its account service for access administration. The two stores serve different purposes.

Data kept in the desktop workspace

Project names, memories, imported conversations and text, search index, file revisions, task states, checkpoints, file links, and optional embeddings are stored in local SQLite files. No cloud sync is provided.

Data handled by the account service

Account email and password hash, verification and recovery records, sessions, subscriptions, payment and Aurpay order metadata, device authorizations, and Team membership/invitations are handled by the service.

Data you choose to share

Context packages are copied to the system clipboard. Chrome capture saves selected webpage text to a chosen project. MCP returns requested project information to a compatible client on the same computer. Review this content before sending it to another provider.

Local backups

A password-encrypted backup is a file under your control. A restore operation also creates a local recovery SQLite copy. Secure those files and any external copies as carefully as the original workspace.
