Create and maintain project records

A memory is a titled record attached to one local project. Records can represent a reusable memory, decision, task, conversation, or imported file.

Record fields and limits

Each record has a title, body, kind, source, and creation time. Titles are limited to 300 characters and bodies to 5 MB. Project names are limited to 100 characters.

Edit with revision history

Editing a record first stores its previous title and body as a revision, updates the search index, and clears any older semantic vector for that record. Restore a revision to make it current; the replaced version is retained.

Task status

Records of kind Task can be marked Open, In progress, or Done. Task status is local to the project and included in checkpoints and workspace backups.

Keep a backup

Memory records are stored in a local SQLite workspace. Use the encrypted backup feature for a separate copy and protect both the file and its password.
