Prepare the JSON export
Obtain your own conversation export from the source service and locate its JSON file. AgentMemory understands ChatGPT-style conversation mappings and follows the active branch when the export identifies a current node; it avoids combining alternate branches.
Import into a project
In the desktop app, choose a project and use Import to select the JSON file. The file may be up to 50 MB; each imported conversation record may be up to 5 MB. Exports with more than 10,000 conversations must be split first.
Review the result
The importer keeps supported text messages and labels them by speaker. Unsupported or empty messages are skipped. Duplicate conversation title/body pairs in the same project are skipped on later imports. Review imported material for sensitive content.
