Connect the extension
In the desktop app, use the extension connection-code action and paste the copied local connection details into the extension popup. The desktop creates a random local token and listens on loopback. Keep the code private and pair only with your own desktop.
Save selected text
Select text on a webpage, open the context menu, and choose “Save selection to AgentMemory.” The extension sends the selected text and source page URL to the chosen local project; the record title is derived from the first 100 characters. Capture is limited to 12,000 characters.
Add a quick note
Open the extension popup, choose a project, enter a note, and save it. The note is stored as a conversation record in the desktop workspace. The extension does not create another device authorization; it uses the paired desktop’s existing one-device license.
If the connection stops
The desktop must be running and authorized. Use Refresh projects after creating a project, reconnect if the desktop restarts, and check the status shown in the popup. The extension communicates with the local AgentMemory bridge, not a remote memory service.
